In the midst of a time when travelling feels a distant memory, We’re All Strangers Here takes you back to when you could be; a solo cyclist; an adventurist on the hippie trail; a couch surfer; a nomad and two first-time travellers. Inspired by the stories of real hitchhikers and travellers we invite you to fall into the shoes of six strangers, uncover the stories of entangled lives through their journeys away from home. This is just the beginning… We're All Strangers Here is a series of four binaural immersive audio experiences and a live phone call. Put on your headphones and find yourself transported from your home to Pakistan, France, the USA and Mexico via land and sky. In a new country, with an unfamiliar language, how much faith would you have in strangers? How do we experience the beauty of human connection when we are more disconnected than ever? Do we really know each other? Or are we all strangers here? Hitcher Encounters brings you, We're All Strangers Here, available for audiences across the globe. (Available only in English) Disclaimer: This project requires internet connection. International service rates apply for live phone calls, please contact your service provider for more information. However, we can offer the live phone call for international audience members through Whatsapp also. Dates and Times: 9am - 9pm Monday - Sunday The show works in weekly couplets with audience members choosing which couplet they would like to access the experience GDPR: Hitcher Encounters values your privacy and the privacy of your information and we abide by GDPR regulations, see below for more information: Your email address is needed to contact you with the link and password to a password protected page. Your phone number is only needed for those who have ordered the phone call ticket in order for us to know who has booked the experience. Your information will be stored in a password protected Google Drive and will be deleted immediately after your two week slot.
Audience Role
For the 4 audios, there is no audience interaction for these are experienced alone by yourself. For the phone call experience, we encourage audience interaction with the actor on the phone.

We are an interactive theatre company who create accessible immersive shows and provide a platform for people to connect with each other. We at Hitcher Encounters believe that audience experience must be at the heart of every encounter, and we strive for a lasting impactful relationship with our audiences. As we blend theatre with different mediums, we merge fiction into reality, and guide our audiences into a whirlwind of hedonistic escapism. Hitcher Encounters lets the participants experience unique and authentic stories through game play. As game makers, we guide our audience through their own personal journey tailored for them. Hitcher Encounters comprises of four individualistic women with a shared passion for interactive theatre with a strong drive to create pervasive, experimental work.
