We Have A Situation’ is the latest instalment in Parabolic Theatre's lineage of crisis management shows, building on the success of its predecessors, For King and Country and Crisis? What Crisis?, and reimagined for an online audience. Set in the modern day, on an entirely fictional island in the Adriatic - Mazeppa - terrorist threats have compelled government officials of both North and South Mazeppa to work remotely from secret locations. Our team of actors and games masters will facilitate your participation, guiding you through the critical decisions you will need to make to secure the future of the island. Only this time our actors and games masters will not be playing the roles of your primary adversaries. This time you will be working against a team of participants just like yourself who will be holding the reins of power on the opposite side of the island. The post-soviet Republic in the North will be pitted against the corporate-capitalist Commonwealth in the South in a struggle to peacefully resolve a political crisis in the most beneficial manner for their own side. Mazeppa is a powder keg. Tensions are high, and without careful management the whole situation could blow up in the faces of both governments. Do you have the political acumen to pull victory from the jaws of defeat? This is a preview run of a show in the final stages of development. We intend to offer a longer run in the new year, but the show cannot be refined and shaped properly without input from real audiences. This will not be a completely polished experience at this stage, but it is an opportunity to be the very first to participate in what will be our largest public show to date.
