The Sleepover

Can you survive a sleepover in the 90's ... when the cable goes out?

The Sleepover Immersive Event - Main Image

Cricklewood Theatre Company presents “The Sleepover”, an online, immersive show that takes you back to middle-school in the 90’s. Nostalgia reigns as you’re invited to a sleepover by new kid Mikey, while his moody older sister Louise has been left to babysit. Grab your sleeping bag and watch SNICK, surf AOL, stay up late, burn CDs, read Goosebumps books, trade pogs, play Oregon Trail, eat Dunkaroos and drink Ecto Cooler – maybe even see a ghost! This show is as immersive as you’d like it to be, so feel free to dress up and bring snacks, ready to interact, or sit back, relax, and enjoy the show! This hour-long show will take place using the Zoom online platform, so the only mask you’ll need is a VHS copy of The Mask (1994). And for those of you living in the Los Angeles area, all ticket-holders will also gain access to an in-person outdoor evening of Flashlight Freeze Tag with the creator of the show and fellow audience members. You’ll also have an opportunity to take photos with many of the 90s props used in the show (Date and Location TBD). *Winner of the 2020 No Proscenium Immersive Awards – Outstanding Achievement in Livestream Production *Winner of the 2020 No Proscenium Audience Choice Awards – Outstanding Achievement in Ensemble Performances Reviews: “The single best onboarding I’ve seen for an online show yet. Period. End of story.” – Noah Nelson, No Proscenium “The Sleepover has all the pieces necessary to give audiences a great escape from today’s complicated world.” – Erik Blair, Eye on Immersive “The Sleepover is genuinely funny…the exact escape a lot of people could use these days.” – Juliet Bennett Rylah, We Like L.A. “I would recommend this to pretty much anyone who’s just looking for a fun thing to do.” – Eve Weston, The Look Club Learn More at thesleepoverimmersive.com/
