"Siya: The Debut" is a coming-of-age and coming-of-out Filipinx play extravaganza exploring queer femme non-binary Filipinx identity. "Siya" blends together raucous comedy and storytelling in a frenzied reinterpretation of the Filipino cultural tradition of young women's coming out 18th birthday celebration. Intertwining anecdotes, skits and monologue, the play is a testament to the power of radical love, softness, humor and self-acceptance.
Audience Role
Audience members will be invited to participate on stage for some scenes of the show, participation is completely optional—the performer will ask for audience members' consent before bringing them on stage.
