Rooftop Somnambulism: a Lonely Dream in Pandemic

✨An interactive play about a life lived in the loneliness of pandemic unfolds on a Brooklyn rooftop.✨ About this event On a midsummer night, we gather together to watch a girl’s journey under the stars. It’s theater. It's open-air. It’s site-specific. It's interactive. It’s lights and music. It’s magical. It’s sweet, funny, and romantic. It’s an immigrant experience. It’s about one of us, some of us, and all of us. Synopsis Being alone in New York in the middle of a pandemic is suffocating her. She has begun sleepwalking through unknown routes, but tonight, her feet find a more specific destination. The fell-through plans and unfulfilled dreams have simmered into a gaping empty loneliness and lead her to her rooftop. There is a meteor shower tonight, and she has 428 wishes to wish on the stars. Her fears and hopes unravel, as do the stories behind them: her childhood in China, her relationships, and the current social issues in America. Who hears her in this big city?
