Spot the three golden spheres hanging above 50 Dean Street, peek into the large bay window displaying wares ‘for sale’, and step inside to find three incredibly unique spaces: The Pawnbrokers Counter, The Strong Room & The Textiles Room. With a large wooden bar and tables made into glass-fronted display cabinets, guests can sip and enjoy cocktails served inside miscellaneous objects. Imagine a curious wall of clocks, a ceiling of mismatched light fixtures, outlandish Victorian erotica and other such commodities. A hidden ‘vaulted’ space for the higher-value goods, The Strong Room surrounds patrons with priceless 19th-century hanging jewels, silver and gold plate, handsome trinkets and antique busts – safely deposited in out-of-reach glass cabinets. The Textiles Room, including a bar decorated with vintage carpets and rugs, features floor-to-ceiling tapestries and an elaborately draped ceiling with sought-after materials sourced from Fogg’s travels across the globe.
