Elementary school can be tough: Your cootie-catcher's gone all cryptic, your recorder's started barking, and it turns out the victim of your egg-drop experiment had a wife and family and they want answers! 80% clown show, 40% sketch comedy, 10% macaroni art, and 22% we haven’t learned to do percentages yet, this whirlwind comedy follows the (class) clowns of Mallowmarsh Elementary as they battle their way through the snack-time stock exchange, the horrors of health class, and the rough and tumble world of indoor recess to answer the age-old question: I know you are but what am I?
Audience Role
This production features what we like to call, "gentle participation" from the audience. Prior to the performance audience members will be invited to complete simple "homework assignments" (such as filling in a blank or doing a simple drawing). Throughout the performance the audience as a whole may be polled for a response, the performers may enter the area where the audience is seated, and may invite audience members to participate in short games, or to circle a response on a form. At no point will an audience member be required to leave their seat. Audience members are encouraged to join in the fun, but are welcome to opt out of participation at any point.
