I Swing, You Swing: A Swinging 70s Mystery Game
Come together in "North Bend" to solve the greatest paternity mystery of 1976!
It’s 1976, and you've been invited to Dr. Darica Darren & Erica’s Ojai Intimacy Ranch for a therapeutic night of swinging. What you don’t know is that you’re actually there to solve the “greatest mystery” of 1976! Someone got pregnant at the last swingers party, and your hosts, the Drs. Darica, need your help to find out who did it, how they did it, and where the deed was done. As you navigate the mystery, you will discover a complex web of relationships and find out that nothing is a straight line when it comes to this complex conception... I SWING, YOU SWING is a two-hour+ Zoom paternity mystery game––not unlike a murder mystery (minus the murder)––for 15-20 players. Participants will receive unique character bios and other game materials in advance so they can get into the spirit of 1976, dress up, and bring their swingers to life! The game was created by Darren Herczeg (Tiki Master of The Coconut Club) and Erica Elson (Co-Author of advice book The Awkward Human Survival Guide), teaming up once again after a successful five-year run together on The Awkward Human Survival Guide podcast.
Audience Role
Players will each take on the role of one of twenty different characters. They will receive unique character bios and objectives as well as suggestions for attire should they choose to dress the part (high encouraged).
Ages: 18 +
This experience is intended for adults and contains subject matter inappropriate for those under 18. The game will include vivid conversation featuring explicit language and sexual situations. If you are uncomfortable with frank adult subject matter then this is not the game for you. The game is set in 1976 and reflects period mores. Though dealing frankly with topics of sex and sexuality, this is NOT an actual swingers party, orgy, Tinder, Grindr, Bumble, Scruff, HER, FET Life, a bar, etc. We definitely encourage players to explore their characters and want to ensure a fun and safe setting in which to do so. Absolutely no behavior deemed inappropriate by your hosts will be tolerated and will result in immediate removal from the game experience with no refund.
