a map-based “theatre-by-mail” experience made just for you
dream/home is a “theatre-by-mail” experience made just for you: an object-based, non-linear, theatrical exploration of your own surroundings, led by a playfully mysterious map that connects each recipient to a parallel world. What makes a place your home? Do your memories have a home? Can you remember the future? Created by interdisciplinary theatre artist Emerie Snyder and visual designer Lina Younes, dream/home was originally conceived in 2021, co-produced by New Georges and presented as part of Post Theatrical, a festival of theatre by mail. Now, three years later, an expanded and reinvisioned version of dream/home will arrive in September 2024, engaging a broader audience of 200 recipients around the globe. (And then, in another three years… dream/home will find its way to you again in 2027.) For your chance to receive a dream/home 2024 package, be sure to sign up by August 31st! About Emerie Snyder - director & creator
Emerie is a NYC-based interdisciplinary theatre creator of new performance work in unconventional forms and places. She likes thinking about things like mirrors, maps, memories, animals, paintings, layers, language, opposites, tiny objects, and big questions. Her art makes connections between those many things–in the form of ephemeral live performances that bridge theatre, visual art, and shared space.
