A troupe of eager Clowns has arrived at the theatre to audition for a Shakespeare play. What play, you ask? One of William Shakespeare’s greatest tragedies, of course! Which one, you ask? Well... Can these Clowns handle Hamlet, the famous drama about a grief-stricken son? Or how about Romeo & Juliet, the beloved tale of star-crossed romance? Or maybe Macbeth, Shakespeare’s spooky play about witches and kings? Can this intrepid group choose a play in time? The show must go on! Suitable for ages 4 and up.
Audience Role
The performers interact directly with the audience, and and occasionally offer opportunities for audience members to voluntarily respond to questions or prompts from the performers, either verbally or physically. Audience members are occasionally prompted to react/respond as a group to action onstage. Performers also offer opportunities for select audience members to volunteer to join the action onstage, near the end of the show (around 45 minutes in to the performance). Performers will ask for volunteers to hold small props and/or participate in a game of Rock, Paper, Scissors with one of the clown performers (if interested). Audience members will be prompted to cheer or respond to action onstage throughout the show.
