Immerse yourself in your own neighborhood with a 20 minute audio story with you as the main character. Unlock your imagination. Be accompanied by an old friend. Delve into the stories and secrets just outside your front door. Conceived by Denmo Ibrahim and Tracy Cameron Francis Written and performed by: Denmo Ibrahim Original Musical Score by: Ryan Anthony Francis About the artists: Denmo Ibrahim is an Egyptian-American actor and writer based in the San Francisco Bay Area. Regional performing credits include The Old Globe, Berkeley Rep, American Conservatory of Theatre, California Shakespeare Theatre, Theatre Calgary, Marin Theatre Company and Seattle Rep. Her writing has been generously supported by the National Endowment for the Arts, Zellerbach Family Foundation, Wallace Alexander Gerbode Foundation, and Theatre Bay Area. She’s received a San Francisco Bay Area Critics Circle Award for Best Original Script (BABA) and Best Featured Actress (The Good Book, Berkeley Rep) and was a Finalist for Sundance Theatre Lab. Her work has been produced by New York Theatre Workshop, Under St. Marks, Playwrights’ Center, Noor Theatre, Golden Thread, EXIT, Alter Theatre, Shotgun Players, and Zawaya. Current projects include Dream Thief (First Person Travel and 3GirlsTheatre) and a two year commission with Commonwealth Theatre Center (Louisville, KY). Denmo holds an MFA in Lecoq-based Actor Created Physical Theater from Naropa University and a BFA in Acting from Boston University. Portland-based composer Ryan Francis writes with an “aggressively original musical language that uses nuance, precision and stylistic-variance to create music that is at once lush, probing and inventive.” (WQXR) His work has received grants and awards including from the American Academy of Arts and Letters, the Jerome Foundation, and the Augustine Foundation. Recent and ongoing projects include VoynichTranscriptions for clarinetist James Shields, Nightwalk with video artist/director Tracy Cameron Francis, The Living Fabric, a collaboration with violinist and composer Emily Wells, Prophet Cycle for the Prophet-6 synthesizer with pianist Conor Hanick, and Quartet for four monophonic synthesizers. Francis’s works for dance include two ballets with choreographer Pontus Lidberg, SNOW (2015), and Stream (2013). Francis has also collaborated with artists of diverse media, including artist Nancy Davidson and artist/writer Andrew Hussie. Commissions include the American Composers Orchestra, the Banff Centre of Canada, Metropolis Ensemble, Fear No Music Ensemble, Chatter, Pittsburgh New Music Ensemble, El-Sakia String Orchestra of Cairo, Cadillac Moon Ensemble, Columbia Symphony of Portland, Pacific Symphony, Oregon Ballet Theater, New Juilliard Ensemble, and the New York Youth Symphony. Francis’s music for piano is available from Tzadik Records, performed by Vicky Chow. Tracy Cameron Francis is a first-generation Egyptian-American director and producer who has directed or developed work in New York at Atlantic Theatre Co, NYTW, HERE, The Culture Project, NY Fringe Festival, Queens Theatre, Red Bull Theatre, Noor Theatre, NY Arab Comedy Festival, and others. Internationally at the Falaki Theatre (Egypt), Ubumuntu Festival (Rwanda) and LaMama Umbria (Italy) and regionally with Boom Arts, Teatro Milagro, Corrib Theatre, and Williamstown. Cameron has created multi-disciplinary performance art for Bushwick Open Studios Performance Art Showcase, Brooklyn Fireproof Gallery, the W Hotel (NY), Alwan Center for the Arts, JAW at Portland Center Stage, and the Queens Arts Council. She is a 2017 Theatre Communications Group Rising Leader of Color Fellow, a core-member of Theatre Without Borders and a member of the Lincoln Center Directors Lab. www.tracyfrancis.com
