Wonderland Dreams

Wonderland Dreams by Alexa Meade brings to life the story of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland in Alexa's hand painted immersive exhibit. Fall down the rabbit hole into a world of secret rose gardens, mad tea parties, in a living gallery that puts you inside the artwork. Wonderland Dreams allows for a new way of experiencing a painting — by walking inside of it and becoming part of the art. The art in the exhibit is not confined to static rectangles of canvas hung on the walls, but rather it is the walls, it is the floor, it is every inch of the 26,000 square foot space that has been hand-painted into a multidimensional work of art. There is real power in engaging with a work of art as an embodied participant, not just a viewer. Each new person who enters into the painted world brings their own unique personality, style, and presence. The art exhibit takes on a new tone, a new feeling, and a new voice, reimagining the space as a living, breathing reflection of those who become part of it.
