WONDERLAND

WONDERLAND is an escape room where the cocktails are part of the puzzle. Billed as America's first immersive boozy escape room, it drops your group into a Wonderland-inspired world of hand-built rooms — card-covered walls, clocks that refuse to agree, doors that are the wrong size — and hands you a story to unravel alongside a live actor who never breaks character. The game runs about 60 minutes, with up to 100 minutes in the space. Along the way each player uncovers a flight of three drinks: one cocktail chosen by the booker from LORE's food-inspired menu, plus two themed potions, a berry and a peach. Almost every drink can be made non-alcoholic, so a mocktail group gets the same experience. Every booking is private — you are never grouped with strangers — which makes it a fit for date nights, birthdays, and small team outings. The room holds up to seven players. LORE recommends 2 to 3 if you want everyone actively working a puzzle, or 5 to 6 if the point is adventuring together. It is designed to welcome first-time escape room players, and the escape rate is 100%: the game master is there to make sure the group gets through it. Inspired by the children's novel, WONDERLAND is not a horror room. The final room has a few thrilling moments, but nothing frightening. The venue itself is a 21+ bar and restaurant, but under-21 guests are welcome in the private escape room — LORE has had players as young as nine. They suggest Monday or Tuesday, or before 6pm, for younger groups, since the space fills with adults later in the evening. Arrive about ten minutes early. Waivers are signed ahead of time, with QR codes available onsite if you forget, and the speakeasy — board games, a cocktail puzzle series, and a full menu — is open to you before and after your game.
