The game-theatre experience returns to Freespace – Join us for the epic edition of this live-action world-building simulation! After its successful premiere in March 2026, When the World Is Your Enemy returns with an upgraded and even more competitive instalment on a larger stage! Part tabletop game, part live performance, this interactive game-theatre experience draws everyone into the action and puts the fate of an entire world in your hands! Participants can choose from two roles: Humans – world-building game players who fight for resources from the gods and forge civilisations through conquest or cooperation – or Gods – three groups of competing behind-the-scenes masterminds who control human evolution through a newly designed web app, trigger world events and distribute resources. As the humans fight for land and resources, racing to build their civilisations, the gods watch from above, ready to change their fate. The earth is finite but appetites are not, and no two games ever end the same way! Devised by cross-media artist Jing Wong and his team, the participatory performance unfolds in an immersive shared space shaped by storytelling, projections and interactive real-time game mechanics. Returning to the stage on a grander scale, When the World Is Your Enemy – Epic Edition is sharper, more devious and more fun, and puts even more control in participants’ hands.
