What in the Worlds? Worldbuilding Workshops with Submersive Productions
Online workshops for collaborative and creative ideation - open to all!
Feeling a little stuck in this world? Dreaming about other possibilities? Come play with Submersive Productions in What in the Worlds: online workshops for collaborative and creative ideation open to all! Submersive Productions is developing a show called The Boundary, an interactive piece which explores the themes of memory, grief, loss and rituals surrounding death. As part of the development of this piece, we have been hosting interactive workshops wherein we lead people through exercises and start conversations which may be woven into the show. The feedback from past participants has been so positive that we are now making this workshop fully open to the public! We will be facilitating two of these virtual sessions over Zoom the weekend of April 16 & 17. You may attend one, both, or neither – it’s up to you! RSVP here: https://forms.gle/rLc3CaJv7Kekabsa8 If you’d like a gentle space to flex your creative muscles, learn some new tools for idea generation, or just generally want to come hang and be morbid with us — you’ve come to the right place! No previous experience with writing, theater or visual arts necessary – just come in with an open mind and a reliable Internet connection (see requirements below).
Audience Role
You will work collaboratively and directly with other participants and facilitators; be invited to contribute in a variety of ways; and invited share your thoughts on about what you and others have created. Nobody will be forced to share specific information, and there will always be an option to step away for any portion of the workshop.

About Submersive Productions
Submersive Productions is a collaborative artworks company that creates original, site-specific immersive works where artists and audiences engage together at the intersection of histories, mythologies and the immediate experience. Based in Baltimore, we devise works that make the audience essential to the journey of the narrative. We work with diverse, predominantly female teams of artists and performers to make worlds that engage the senses and unfold stories, both familiar and forgotten.
