An electroacoustic hybrid performance exploring the depths of your mind
Based on interview research and the artist’s experiences with talk therapy, hypnotherapy, dreamwork, sandplay, somatics, and reiki, Leslie Ting's What Brings You In is an exploration, through a series of new music compositions, of when and where our truest selves emerge. What Brings You In invites audiences inward to discover more about themselves through listening, while asking “what brings you in?” to gather for an online performance in a communal digital space. What might we find together? Attend What Brings You In online through a web-app designed by EMMA Co-Op as the simultaneous in-person performance occurs as part of The Kick & Push Festival. What Brings You In invites audiences to disengage visually through integrated poetic audio description and sound-based online interactions using your cursor or touchscreen.
