Unique Henan · Land of Dramas

"Only Henan · Drama Illusion City" is built as a drama-themed cultural work tailored for Henan, together with director Wang Chaoge. It contains 21 theaters with nearly 700 minutes of non-repeating performances and nearly 1,000 actors, constituting the world's largest theatrical cluster by scale and performance duration. Drawing on Yellow River civilization and Central Plains culture, it tells stories of land, grain, and heritage. The experience offers diversified viewing forms — procession-based and seated performances — across different venues, emphasizing an immersive experience. Three main theaters anchor the complex: the Railway Station Theater depicts the 1942 famine crisis through immersive, procession-style viewing; the Lijia Village Theater is themed on land, grain, and heritage, focusing on post-famine reconstruction; and the Illusion City Theater is a seated theater accommodating around 2,300 people, spanning a thousand years of history. More than 10 smaller theaters offer additional cultural themes throughout the complex.
