A limited-time immersive museum bringing ukiyo-e masterpieces to life
A limited-time immersive museum where visitors can immerse themselves in the world of ukiyo-e through three-dimensional video space. The exhibition transforms over 300 ukiyo-e masterpieces by renowned artists such as Katsushika Hokusai and Utagawa Hiroshige into immersive experiences through 3DCG animation and projection mapping, presented across themed rooms including a Japan Blue room, a Beautiful room, and displays built around Hokusai's Thirty-Six Views of Mount Fuji. Historical prints, reprints, and cultural and historical context accompany the digital works throughout. Produced by HITOHATA, INC., a digital creative company based in Nagoya, Tokyo, Osaka and Milan that creates experiences merging art and technology, with over 80 projects across 7 countries and 30+ cities since 2020.
