About Playable Artworks

Playable Artworks is a Minnesota-based nonprofit association. We create connections between people and places in order to change participants’ perception of our world and our communities. We create immersive and interactive performance that is specific to time and place, and gives audience members the kind of freedom and agency they expect when playing a game. We collaborate with artists across disciplines to build experiences grounded in technology and the physical world. We actively seek to build a diverse, inclusive, and equitable community of artists and audience-participants. We recognize the barriers faced by those who have traditionally been unwelcome and underrepresented in the arts. As we work on dismantling those barriers, we invite feedback on our efforts in creating a community that is accessible, safe, and engaging for all.
