Trading Stories
A free immersive performance marketplace at Leadenhall Market
Explore a market within the market. Among the everyday bustle of Leadenhall Market, discover secret stalls and pop-up performances where international artists invite you into playful exchanges: a story for a token, a taste for a memory, a conversation with a stranger. Over two days, this free immersive marketplace transforms public spaces into moments of connection, where stories are traded, memories are shared, and small acts of encounter become the currency. The programme includes an interactive performance cafe by State of the [Art]'s Munotida Chinyanga, an outdoor storytelling auction house by Pepa Duarte, an playful tea shop by Devanshi Rungta & Vedika Kushalappa, suitcase theatre performances by African Activities, mysterious Bosnian coffee readings with King of More and a pop-up storytelling living room by 27 degrees. Produced by immersive theatre-makers Koro Productions, the event celebrates bold migrant voices and invites visitors to see the market - and each other - differently.
