Tour Noir NYC: A Dame to Guide For
Love, Sightseeing, Betrayal. Solve a mystery while exploring all of Downtown Manhattan!
Come join in on New York City's only sightseeing theater experience. We'll be walking through the history and culture of infamous downtown Manhattan sights combined with an interactive film noir comedy show. We begin our experience in Hanover Square where your humble host and licensed guide, Jason Thompson, is interrupted early in the tour by his ex-fiance, Veronica, who tells the group her new husband has gone missing and needs our help to find him. After reluctantly "agreeing" to help her, our group is immersed in a real life thriller, filled with rapid-fire bantering and bickering as we help Jason and Veronica solve clues and navigate the winding streets of downtown Manhattan. We'll search through all of Wall Street, City Hall, Five Points, the Bloody Angle in Chinatown, a Little Italy mob spot, before ending in Soho for a climatic song and dance finale. Put your detective and film noir skills to the test and hopefully, we'll get to the bottom of this mystery - with as few casualties and hurt feelings as possible! In terms of Covid-19 precautions: Face masks will be required of all guests and they are to be worn over the nose and mouth for the entire duration of the tour. Please bring your own mask as we will not provide one. We will not perform the tour for anybody who does not have or refuses to wear a mask. There will be no refunds for anybody turned away for not following our mask policy. The performers will also be wearing masks for the duration of the tour. We will provide hand sanitizer and be happy to liberally dole out any to those who want. Social distancing will be encouraged but be warned that some of the streets we walk down are very narrow and can get a bit crowded so we will do our best on that front.
Audience Role
As an audience member you'll be tasked with helping Jason and Veronica solve the missing person case! The hosts are always in character and will interact and joke with the audience based on the situations and personalities at hand. The audience is encouraged to ask questions and play along with the hosts. They can ask anything from historical questions you'd ask on a sightseeing tour to questions about the film noir story ("how did you both meet"). The more engaged the audience is the more fun the show is for everyone (performers included)!
