Join us for a post-pandemic, contemporary, and original adaptation of Charlotte Perkins-Gilman's THE YELLOW WALLPAPER. Humble Materials theatre collective invites you into Philly PACK garage theatre to experience an art installation by Natalie Fletcher (body painter, Netflix's Skin Wars season 1 winner) and performance by Humble Materials ensemble. In this 50 minute project, audiences meet Jane, an unreliable narrator who attempts to "cure" her mental illness despite her exhausting wallpaper. Co-created by sisters Jessica Noel and Natalie Fletcher with Lauren Leonard, Monica Flory and Amy Henderson. Characters devised by Humble Materials ensemble. Direction by Monica Flory. Puppets by Kat Caro. Choreography by Carolyn Breyer, Chachi Perez, Amy Henderson and Jessica Noel. Yasmin Roberti as Jane.
