The Wild Party: An Immersive Musical Experience
Step into prohibition-era NY with this intimately staged production, set to a jazz-inspired score
I think we’re due for a party, don’t you? Welcome to the roaring ‘20s, an era of unbridled excess, where the jazz is hot and the gin is free flowing – if you know where to find it. Join our eccentric entourage at 62 Orchard, a members-only speakeasy in the Lower East Side. Fill up your glass and try your hand at a game of chance, or find a dark corner to observe the goings-on. All eyes are on vaudeville performers Queenie and Burrs, who impulsively decide to host the party to end all parties. And what a party it will be! Abandon restraint, embrace your darkest desires, and experience the powerful allure of reckless indulgence. Join us at 62 Orchard and dress sharp. THE WILD PARTY Book, Music, and Lyrics by: ANDREW LIPPA Based on the Poem by Joseph Moncure March Rooftop Musical Society is renowned for immersing its audience in the world of the show, captivating them with detailed sets and costumes, an immersive pre-show experience, and intimately staged performances that bring the story vividly to life.
Audience Role
Guests will step into our 1920s speakeasy a half an hour prior to the show, indulging in cocktails, with music wafting from the gramophone, while taking in character interactions happening around them. They'll then be guided to Queenie and Burr's 'apartment' for the main attraction: a performance of Andrew Lippa's musical "The Wild Party" that unfolds around them, creating a voyeuristic experience as the action ensues in every direction.
