The Static

Somewhere in the back of my mind sits a blanket of fog called THE STATIC. It is home to my... most anomalous anxieties. Every pesky, nagging little thought that refuses to hush up and blend in. This holiday season, three eerie tales await those willing to brave the white noise in my mind, but be warned: the only way out is through. THE STATIC is a virtual one-man show developed in seven days and built from the closet of a Halloween/Christmas geek. (Think The Twilight Zone meets performance art.) Alone in my Brooklyn apartment, I am using the piece to explore digital tools for use in future immersive projects. Like the living room King Tut musicals eight year-old Me forced my family to sit through (don't ask), this... is a work in progress. (Those uninterested in my good-humored improv as I scramble to run my own switch board might want to seek other entertainment. "One man" means one-man cast, creative, and crew. It's a terrible idea, but that's half the fun!) And if you're alone this holiday season, open to something a little different, or looking for a way to escape the real noise for a moment...
