The Rise of Houdini: An Effervescent Burlesque & Séance to Raise the Great Houdini

A dark, haunted evening not for the faint of heart.

The Rise of Houdini: An Effervescent Burlesque & Séance to Raise the Great Houdini Immersive Event - Main Image

Experience Theatre Project proudly presents a horrifying immersive event that can only be described as a new kind of haunted house. Guests are invited to visit the haunted space at Experience Theatre Project and travel back in time to 1927 to a very unusual cocktail party hosted by ETP's own Billy Burke. Billy will lead you into the affair with a sultry song followed by a "haunted burlesque" featuring strange yet erotic performances by Nina Nightshade and many others. The centerpiece of the evening begins at 8pm with a magic show by Professor D.R. Schreiber, then the seance to raise the great Harry Houdini, assisted by Harry Houdini's widow, Bess Houdini herself. However, things are not all what they seem. A door to a dark, undead world could be opened intentionally. Who could possibly save the day?

About Experience Theatre Project

Experience Theatre Project was founded with the belief that new, modern theater consists of innovation, immersion, and imagination. We strive to create a unique and inventive theater-going experience by bringing audience members into the moment through a collaboration of creative writers, performers, musicians, technology, digital media, and the community. We aspire to produce a wide-ranging repertoire which will encourage the audience to not simply observe a play, but essentially feel as though they are an integral part of the performance (the experience). Our eclectic approach celebrates new voices, inspires and challenges audiences of all ages, and explores new and inventive ways in which to bring theatrical performance to a whole new level of storytelling.
