THE MYSTERIES OF PERSEPHONE

No one has practiced the Mysteries of Persephone in over 1500 years and the old gods are beyond upset. As anyone can see, the world is in utter chaos. It used to be that once a year the people of Greece would re-enact the myth of Persephone and Demeter, allowing them to invoke the healing powers of the inner divine feminine. As the story goes, Persephone was picking flowers one day when the earth opened up, and Hades emerged from the underworld, abducting her and dragging her down to his lair to make her his bride. Demeter, her mother, was beside herself with grief and kept the world in perpetual winter until Persephone was returned. Audience members will help Demeter by traveling to the underworld to rescue Persephone. The journey into the depths of Hades melds live action roleplay, immersive theater, ritual re-enactment, and ancient esoteric practices to bring about a transformative experience for those brave souls and ardent seekers willing to explore the mysteries.
