The Medusa Experience

34 people were found dead in a manor. A case arrives in the post. Inside: the clues — one of them is a website. For five weeks, the whole world deciphers them at the same moment. On Halloween 2027, a film answers everyone at once.

Thirty-four people were found dead in a manor. No suspect. No cause of death. No one has ever explained it. The Medusa Experience is a six-week investigation that begins as an object and ends with a film. A collector case shaped like a film reel arrives in the post. Inside are five to seven pieces of evidence. One of them is a website. That site opens the case. You have five weeks. Every week, you and every other player on earth receive the same new clue at the same moment — never earlier, never later, wherever you live. You work it alone, at your own table, with the objects in front of you. And you work it at the same time as everyone else. At the end of the five weeks, you name the killer. One week after that, on Halloween night 2027, a feature film gives the answer to everyone at once. HOW IT RUNS The case ships worldwide in summer 2027. The investigation runs for five weeks from late September 2027, and the film closes it on 31 October 2027. Every backer receives the film. A theatrical event is the intended form of that finale; territories are announced during production. WHAT YOU NEED An internet connection, and the case itself from the Observer edition upward. No app, no subscription, no headset. Two digital-only tiers exist for players who want the investigation and the film without the object. TIMING The live run is autumn 2027. This listing exists so the immersive community knows it is coming. The project funds on Kickstarter from 28 October 2026, and editions run from EUR 11 to EUR 4,999 — the top one limited to eleven copies. WHO MADE IT Written and directed by Stanislas Mohamed, who has been building this world since 2018. Produced by De Verite et de Spectacle, a Paris studio. medusa-press.netlify.app

Audience Role

You are the investigator — not a character. There is no costume, no role-play and no performer to meet: the only people in this story are already dead. The case arrives at your door, and everything after that depends on you handling it. You open the evidence yourself. You decide what a black candle, a fork and an embroidered school crest are doing in the same box, and you find the website hidden among them. Nothing advances on its own. For five weeks you and every other player on earth receive the same clue at the same moment, and at the end you name who killed thirty-four people in that manor, and how. Your answer is locked before the resolution exists. You play alone. You solve it as a planet. On Halloween night 2027 the film gives the answer, and you learn whether you were right at the same second as everyone else.

About De Vérité et de Spectacle

De Vérité et de Spectacle — "of truth and of spectacle" — is a studio based in Paris, France founded in 2025 by writer-director Stanislas Mohamed. The name is the method. The studio builds stories that exist in two registers at once: objects you can hold, weigh and doubt, and the fiction those objects belong to. What arrives in the post is real. What it means is not. Before founding the studio, Stanislas directed commercials for Domino's, Coca-Cola and Orange, and two short films. He has been building the world ofThe Medusa Experience since before 2018. It is the studio's first release.
