The Evidence Chamber Immersive Event - Main Image

"Hottest front row seats: the best theatre and dance to watch from home" – The Guardian There’s been a murder. The police have a suspect but the evidence doesn’t paint a clear picture. You're summoned to be a juror in an online deliberation room: you watch the testimonies, scrutinise the evidence, discuss with your fellow jurors... and work out what really happened that night. Your verdict will change someone’s life – what will you decide? ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━▲━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ The Evidence Chamber is an interactive courtroom drama you can play from home. If you’re a fan of crime fiction or true crime, it's the show for you. It was developed with forensic scientists at the Leverhulme Research Centre for Forensic Science at the University of Dundee. It's the second courtroom show from Fast Familiar, the team behind The Justice Syndicate. Audience Role

In this experience you will be in an online jury deliberation room, probably with players you don’t know. You can book tickets for the same date and time along with people you know, but there are 12 slots per show so you'll probably also be with strangers! You'll watch video testimonies and look at evidence documents from a fictional case. You'll discuss your opinions on the verdict with other players, via video chat. You will be guided 70% of the time. 30% of the time, during discussions, the group will self-regulate. All audience members participate – real juries don’t have spectators, because it might change how people behave or what they say. The same applies here.

About Fast Familiar

Fast Familiar make artworks which are participatory, playful and political. We’re a group of artists from different backgrounds who design audience-centric experiences which often utilise ‘digital technology’. We’re fascinated by human psychology in a rapidly changing world. For us, art is a space to explore questions which are too complex for daily life. We think art can be experimental and ambitious without being elitist.
