The Blackpool Tower Dungeon

Underneath Blackpool Tower, a full cast of actors is waiting to walk you through a thousand years of Lancashire at its worst. Ten laugh-out-loud shows run across a single route, built out in rich sets with special effects and a drop ride at the end. The Jester hosts you in before things get properly out of hand. The Plague Doctor's Assistant demonstrates some medieval cures you'll wish you hadn't seen. The Torturer would like a volunteer. Judge Blackheart has already decided you're guilty and is only working out the sentence. Along the way the Skippool Smugglers need help shifting their loot, the Pendle Witches tell their side of things, and the Séance summons something that probably should have stayed put — before you're sent to the gallows on the Drop Dead ride. It's dark comedy rather than a scare maze. Nobody is chased or touched, and the whole route runs about fifty minutes on timed entry. The Dungeon also runs seasonal programming through the year, including Dungeon Lates, an 18+ after-hours edition on selected dates. Check the ticket link for what's on when you visit.
