An interactive show for young people
This performance is aimed at school groups ages 13-17 Conceived after a chance meeting between award-winning playwright and theatre director Clare Duffy, and renowned technology journalist Rupert Goodwins, The Big Data Show is a call to action for greater understanding and safety in our cyber world, for present and future generations. The Big Data Show takes the form of two hour interactive theatre show designed to educate young people across the UK in cyber vulnerability. It addresses growing threats to young people’s wellbeing as they navigate this digital world.
Audience Role
Audience members play the Super Swipe game before and during the show. They compete with other audience members and react to prompts and surprises from the game.

About CIVIC DIGITS THEATRE COMPANY
In 2018 there were still 5.3 million adults in the UK, or 10% of the adult UK population described as internet non-users. Office for National Statistics. Equalities, diversity and inclusion is at the heart of everything Civic Digits aims to do. Our company mission is ‘To create a digital future where we can all flourish’. We are passionate that no one gets left behind in the digital world we now live in, either through digital poverty and/or a lack of role models in the professional digital world and digital culture. Only 18% of the tech workforce in the UK are female. We exist to challenge the reproduction of white centred patriarchal power through technology, by empowering young people to be confident to play with technology, to make their own technology and use it to express and represent themselves.
