in Provincetown with Kip . . . in New Orleans with Pancho . . . in New York with Frankie . . . Tenn Lovers tells the true story of three relationships which shaped the life of Tennessee Williams. It is an examination of the necessary endurance and resilience required for queer people to live and love, in contention with the external forces seeking to control them. Tenn Lovers is also a test of physical endurance, as Kristopher tells the story while performing high-volume sets of weight-lifting exercises with a single dumbbell, and the audience determines which muscle groups are worked.
