A new kind of museum: a Catching and Collecting Forest, and an Athletics Forest
teamLab Forest is a new kind of museum created by art collective teamLab, consisting of a Catching and Collecting Forest and an Athletics Forest. The Catching and Collecting Forest is a new learning space based on the concept of Catch, Collect, Research, in which people explore the world with their bodies, discovering, catching, and broadening their interests. The Athletics Forest is a new creative space that trains spatial awareness based on the concept of perceiving the world with your body and thinking about it high-dimensionally. teamLab (f. 2001) is an international art collective that seeks to navigate the confluence of art, science, technology, and the natural world. The interdisciplinary group includes artists, programmers, engineers, CG animators, mathematicians, and architects who aim to explore the relationship between the self and the world, and new forms of perception.

teamLab (f. 2001) is an international art collective. Their collaborative practice seeks to navigate the confluence of art, science, technology, and the natural world. Through art, the interdisciplinary group of specialists, including artists, programmers, engineers, CG animators, mathematicians, and architects, aims to explore the relationship between the self and the world, and new forms of perception. In order to understand the world around them, people separate it into independent entities with perceived boundaries between them. teamLab seeks to transcend these boundaries in our perceptions of the world, of the relationship between the self and the world, and of the continuity of time.
