Strangeways: The Only Way Out is Through (Workshop)
Live VR theatre and YouTube livestream. VR audiences enter the story, interact with characters, and shape it in real time.
This workshop production of Strangeways: The Only Way Out Is Through is a live, interactive VR theatre experience created as a lab production in collaboration with Ferryman Collective and Shtik XR. Written and directed by Tanvi Agrawal, the project brings Ferryman’s Emmy®-winning approach to interactive storytelling into the award-winning virtual world of Strangeways, created by Shtik XR. Designed for a small audience, the experience invites participants inside the surreal mind of its protagonist, where their interactions help shape an intimate story of mental health, neurodivergence, self-discovery, and resilience. The production was developed through The Crossing: Ferryman Apprentice Program, a new initiative creating pathways for artists to learn the craft of live, interactive VR theatre and help shape the future of this emerging art form. Experience the show live in VR with a headset, or watch it unfold through a YouTube livestream.
