It’s 1961. Ashford, Georgia. Tom Collins is the drink of choice. Dean Martin’s on the radio. Everyone’s driving a Cadillac, and Suzanne Wellington is about to turn 40. Four couples gather to celebrate the big day — old college buddies who’ve known one another for decades. But even best friends keep secrets, and over the course of this evening's party, a few of those are bound to be revealed... Content warning: please note that SOUTHERN GOTHIC portrays domestic violence and racial slurs.
Audience Role
SOUTHERN GOTHIC is more of a voyeuristic experience — you’ll get to oversee all the juicy drama, but won’t have to participate in it. Please note that audience members will not be interacted with by the characters, and should not try to interact with or touch the characters themselves.

About Windy City Playhouse
"Experience driven. Audience First.” Windy City Playhouse is a professional theater and 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, located on Chicago’s northwest side. Premiering in March of 2015 with a mission to present contemporary, relevant, and approachable art, the Playhouse has quickly become a mainstay of the Chicago theater scene. In 2018, its runaway hit, the immersive SOUTHERN GOTHIC, solidified the Playhouse as *the* Chicago theater for one-of-a-kind audience experiences.
