This event is a uniquely devised piece, where creativity and collaboration take center stage to craft an original and immersive experience. It's Documentary Theater starring the performers playing themselves. Located at a Secret House Venue in Midtown, this devised theater piece and concert invites you to connect with Houston's vibrant songwriting scene in an intimate, relaxed, and down-to-earth setting. Discover the talents of our local songwriters and artists through personal performances and expansive immersive vignettes that offer insight into their creative journeys. 'Something in the Air' provides an opportunity to appreciate the music and artistry that thrives in Houston from the artists themselves. As you explore the show at your own direction , enjoy refreshing beverages, and engage in conversations post-show with fellow attendees and the performers. Whether you're a music enthusiast, an art lover, or simply seeking a unique night out this holiday season, this event promises a one-of-a-kind atmosphere. Featuring Performances and Music From: Fern and Rocket Nathan Ray DGS “Gio” Juliet Young Eric Castillo Jeromy Barber Katherine Oliver The Poetry of Daniel Holiday Choreographed by Lindsay Cortner This choreography draws inspiration from the creative contributions of each dancer involved: Araiza Ruben Trevino Bethany Logan Together, they have crafted a unique and dynamic dance performance that celebrates the collective artistry and creativity of the entire team. Additional Magic and Delicious Beverages from Katherine Oliver, and DIY Merch Stitchcraft from Michea Arritola. DOORS at 6:30 PM The show starts at 7PM, but doors open at 6:30 PM. Please come early to experience the pre-show experience from the entire cast. NO LATE SEATING. Apologies. Due to the immersive nature and limited staff and volunteers, please note that late seating is not available. STAIRS Please be aware that our event is located on the second floor, accessible only by stairs, and unfortunately, we do not have wheelchair-accessible facilities. TRIGGER WARNING Rated PG-13. While we find the show a loving look at songwriters and their music, we feel it is appropriate for ages 13 and above. This immersive theater experience contains some adult themes, including marijuana use and alcohol abuse. The production may, for some, be an intense sensory stimulation. Attendees should be prepared for a potentially challenging and fully immersive artistic encounter that requires and rewards exploration of the full the space throughout the entire performance.
