SLEEPY HOLLOW: A Limited Time Experience

This Fall, HERO brings another New York legend to life at Rockefeller Center, just in time for Halloween – the epic tale of Sleepy Hollow. Guests will be transported to the upstate town of Sleepy Hollow, the setting of Halloween’s most famous tale, in haunting charm without ever leaving Manhattan. HERO reimagines the famed seasonal legend as an enchanted place of tales and lore, set amidst the magic of a harvest festival. Kids and kids-at-heart will embark on a wondrous Fall journey through bucolic, misty forests of the Hudson Valley, as the spirit of Washington Irving, Sleepy Hollow’s author, guides them through a land of twilight tales and folklore. Enter the hollows and learn the spooky legends of the land, find your way through an interactive corn maze and follow the story of Ichabod Crane and the Headless Horseman. Discover an enchanted mushroom bouncy forest to jump on to your heart’s content, and unwind with a witch's tale by the hearth with apple cider donuts, candied treats, potions and brews, and mulled wine. Centering the experience is a magical live pumpkin patch under a harvest sky where guests can find their perfect pumpkin to take home. Guests can even personalize their Jack-o-Lanterns with the help of expert carvers and a selection of paints and crafts. Sleepy Hollow: Autumn’s Harvest has eight distinct experiences: Sleepy Hollow Harvest - interactive scenes of New York autumn mix with an old country farm stand with Harvest treats and gifts to browse (free and open to public) The Hollows - delve into the secrets of these woods - learn the myths a legends of the land The Cornfield- find your way through the maze and learn the Legend of Sleepy Hollow along the way Ichabod’s Enchanted Grove - find yourself in a love story of your own bouncing and dancing amongst larger than life mushrooms The Witch’s Hearth- concoctions and delicious treats welcome you in a comfortable setting for conviviality and sharing a story over a brew The Haunted Tunnel - an audio visual light show where guests may meet the headless figure of legend The Pumpkin Harvest - let your imagination wander, dream dreams, and get inspired in our expansive pumpkin patch beneath the setting sun and harvest moon Jack-O-Lantern Atelier - paint, decorate, or carve your own pumpkin with a little help from experts, and bring home a piece of your Fall legend.
