SLarp Fest

A one-day mini larp festival in the virtual world Second Life

SLarp Fest Immersive Event - Main Image

Join us for a one-day mini larp festival featuring four adapted and one original live action roleplaying games especially designed to be played in the virtual world Second Life. Game creators engaged in live and immersive experiences have over the past year been exploring a variety of ways to reinvent what we do in online settings. Leveraging Second Life’s avatar embodiment and abundance of user-created content—from buildings, to animations, to costumes—renowned larp and participatory theatre designers, including IndieCade finalists, have joined forces to create SLarp Fest, a mini festival of “virtual” larps.

Audience Role

The festival consists of four live action roleplaying games. There are no "actors" per se, only moderators. Attendees will be expected to play a role in any game they sign up for.

Ages: 18 +

In one of the larps, Sleepover, participants will roleplay as teenagers with light sexual themes, including playing "Spin the Bottle" and "Seven Minutes in Heaven" using animations, and will roleplay as parents telling their kids about sex. Though not sex-related, one of the larps also takes place at the funeral of a person who committed suicide.
