Spy Brunch LLC (Safehouse ‘77, Safehouse ‘82, and The Pod) is thrilled to announce the launch of our latest immersive experience: Sherwood & Nottingham, a playable online immersive episodic series. The first season of this one-of-a-kind adventure will unfold over a four-week span, from November 16th through December 12th. *These are not separate "show dates" but rather one continuous experience.* Future seasons will follow beginning in 2021. Inspired by the classic tales of Robin Hood but updated for modern times, Sherwood & Nottingham invites players to become citizens of either the glass-walled metropolis of Nottingham or the hardscrabble village of Sherwood. As we begin our story, King Richard has invited his brother Jonathan to return to the Kingdom of Anglia after a ten-year exile for war crimes -- a development that is sure to have a ripple effect throughout the kingdom, especially in the neighboring cities of Sherwood and Nottingham. Participants will explore the rich fantasy world of Sherwood & Nottingham through a brand-new, fully-designed interactive website with unique virtual locations to explore -- a library full of news and lore, a bar that hosts happy hours, virtual performance spaces, a town square with topical discussion forums, and more. Two types of tickets are available for purchase: Citizen and VIP. The Citizen ticket provides access to all the site elements and events listed above, as well as weekly Zoom-based events ranging from town halls to talent shows. These are priced at $50 and include approximately twelve hours’ worth of live experiences over the four-week season. A strictly limited number of VIP tickets will give participants the opportunity to become more deeply involved in the story, interacting with key characters in ways that can influence their choices. These special ticketholders will begin their experience by receiving a special introductory package in the mail with mementos and artifacts from Sherwood or Nottingham. Once inside the world, players will access weekly special encounters on Gather, the brand new platform that combines a classic 2D gaming interface with video chat. VIPs will be invited to follow mysterious trails to unlock secrets of the kingdom, and they will also gain membership to one of eight guilds, each one featuring its own storylines and quests. VIP tickets are priced at $150 for the four-week season. This experience is designed for laptop or desktop computers. The main website is fully functional on mobile devices, but certain interactive elements do require a computer. Your ticket entitles you to exactly one login/character profile. You may not share your profile with anyone outside your household. You may share your profile with a household member or members, but you will have to choose one person to portray your character for on-camera events, and that person must be the same for the entire experience, so as not to break the consistency of the world.
