Witness's 8-hour immersive performance based on the ancient Greek Oresteia makes its London premiere.
In the depths of his childhood palace, Orestes lies in wait, having returned from exile to avenge his father. But the gods have gone quiet, and he can’t figure out why. He’s desperate, and determined, to make them speak again. An immersive installation based on the ancient Greek Oresteia, featuring a single actor for the entire 8-hour duration. Ritual will run beginning at 12:00pm on Saturday 21st February and Saturday 22nd February. Show up and stay for five minutes or five hours, or come and go as you please. Ritual is free to attend. Timed entry booking slots are available, but we will hold some space for walk-in attendees throughout the day.
Audience Role
Visitors will be invited to explore the set and installation, but will not interact physically with performers.
