Recovery: An Immersive Show on Zoom

The story of two recently deceased mortals finding their afterlife; devised specifically for zoom

Recovery: An Immersive Show on Zoom Immersive Event - Main Image

Recovery is an interactive and immersive show, pushing the boundaries of zoom to create a theatrical production. The afterlife is something new now. Posthumous has made sure that you will be comfortable post-mortal once you remember who you were in the real world. In this new interactive and immersive show, audience members will be Posthumous employees, attempting to discover new information about the recently deceased to help them remember their lives.

Audience Role

The audience is guided through zoom rooms from the comfort of their own home. If the audience does not engage, interact, and in some cases interfere with what is happening, the show will go on but the events and ending are directly impacted by the audience's interaction. The audience speaks to actors, asks questions, informs characters of information they have gathered, and persuades characters to make certain decisions.

About Phoenix Tears Productions

At Phoenix Tears Productions we make weird theater. We put headphones on and perform audio dramas (immersive audio landscapes) by having audiences move around outside and follow physical actors through the story. We create murder mysteries populated by ghosts. We devise zoom based immersion for the pandemic ridden world. We perform our shows at Fringe festivals, Dragonfly Studio 129, and online. Our most recent works include Stardust Kingdom (2016), The War (2019), Recovery: a zoom based immersive show (August 29th & 30th 2020), and Infected: a horror audio drama (October 2020)
