The PXR Conference, hosted by Single Thread Theatre, is a series of interactive presentations, discussions, and performances by Canadian and international creators on how they are using virtual reality, augmented reality and mixed reality (collectively known as XR) in the creation of live performance. This innovative hybrid-format conference takes place both in a custom-built and interactive VRChat world, and in-person across Canada (Kingston, Toronto, and Vancouver). Your conference pass grants you access to 20+ unique events, presentations, and socials. Experience a conference unlike any other—between our in person hubs and digital realms, there will be plenty of opportunities to learn, share, and socialize with fellow artists and technologists. PXR is committed to creating space for IBPOC artists through presentation and fellowship opportunities, as well as representation in the leadership of the conference. Our hubs offer special programming on February 20th & 27th and will be a meeting spot where conference goers without headsets can gather to access the conference. Our Hubs will feature two incredible installations, snacks and drinks, music, VR experiences, and more!
