Pronoun Practice Party
This is a practice opportunity to get flexible and stretch comfort with pronouns.
At this interactive “party” via zoom, I will reveal your gender pronoun for the time we are together. The pronoun I assign may or may not be the gender you identify with. Additionally, by the end of this session, you will: make fewer assumptions about people's pronouns based on appearance. become more fluid with "variant" pronoun use. build community / get to know each other. have the experience of being misgendered. This is an interactive space where everyone will have a chance to connect and practice together. COST: The requested fee for this community-building practice session is $25/person and is offered on a pay as you’re able scale. WHO SHOULD ATTEND: This Pronoun Practice Party is open to anyone of any gender. It is geared towards cis* people who might be newer to thinking about and practicing with a variety of pronoun possibilities. Non-binary and trans friends are welcome to attend and should consider your needs in being around the indelicate practice of primarily cis folks with a stated goal of being intentionally misgendered. I hope to see you on the April 30th SANDY I'm a queer, cis white woman who aims to create authentic learning communities in all spaces I facilitate. Cis or Cisgender = the sex you were assigned at birth is the same as the gender you choose today.

About Cuenta Conmigo LLC
Cuenta Conmigo LLC, a sole proprietorship which collaborates and contracts with other skilled providers and entities in the Portland community, was first formed in 2000. Cuenta Conmigo LLC currently exists to provide bilingual (Spanish/English) equity-informed coaching, consultation, mediation, facilitation, and training. With a focus on racial equity, Cuenta Conmigo and collaborators provide an array of conflict resolution, dialogue, and racial justice services. We create and refine curriculum, develop and facilitate professional training & dialogue series and workshops for adults and youth. Cuenta Conmigo believes that the best training/workshop/dialogue experience is one where the wisdom of the room is able to come out and we hold space to guide a deeper look. It is in the conversations themselves that foundational skills are practiced and reimagined. We follow the needs of the group in front of us, staying flexible to a group’s needs as well as with a lens to our stated outcomes. We provide multiracial trainer teams who hold our own intersecting identities to offer groups connection, learning, and role modeling from a variety of people. We thrive when groups awaken, when Black, Brown, and Indigenous people are heard, and when white people settle into discomfort and then move to action.
