A century ago, something strange took root in the halls and grounds of Glen Foerd. Step back in time to the night five people vanished— retrace the household’s final steps and uncover the truth about that peculiar evening and the unpredictable role of a most sinister garden. Uncover the truth of a mystery a century in the making…and discover which secrets are best left buried. This September, enter historic Glen Foerd and unravel its long-held secrets. Alterra Productions is pleased to present The Poison Garden for the 2022 Philadelphia Fringe Festival. The Poison Garden is an immersive, sandbox-style performance you are free to explore. Choose which characters to follow and which clues to examine as you move throughout the historic rooms of Glen Foerd. Interactive storytelling and physical theatre combine to create an experience like you’ve never seen before, and after the show, join the cast for an intimate Q & A to learn more about how the story was brought to life. The garden is awake, and it’s waiting for you. Reserve your ticket through the Philadelphia Fringe Festival website for $40 or purchase tickets at the door for $45 at the event (availability is limited, please call 608-322-6875 day-of for availability). Show dates for The Poison Garden: September 12 at 7:00pm September 13 at 7:00pm September 14 at 7:00pm September 15 at 7:00pm September 19 at 7:00pm September 20 at 7:00pm September 21 at 7:00pm Please note that due to the location within Glen Foerd, parts of this performance occur on multiple stories and is not wheelchair accessible. This is an indoor and outdoor event. Covid 19 precautions: This event takes place both in and out of doors. We require that you are up to date on your vaccinations and recommend that you have all available boosters - we will verify your vaccination status during check in. If you are not vaccinated, you will be required to take a COVID test at the event . You can bring your own unopened test or purchase one of ours at the door (availability is limited to first come, first served). Masks are highly encouraged for this event but not required.
