What May Come Immersive & Culture Lab LIC present Playground: Immersive works in Progress. Each night, audiences will play through excerpts from three different in-development works and have the opportunity to offer feedback. The night will culminate with a talk back from one of the three makers with a moderated Q&A. Come play for one day or all three, and leave your mark on the upcoming final productions! Lena Wolfe w/ “Radium Girls” An immersive dance play centered on America’s early 1900s obsession with radium, through the eyes of the ill-fated women working with this unstable element. Maker: Collin Blackard What May Come Immersive w/ “Ms. Maxwell Presents: The Murder Game” An interactive murder mystery featuring characters plucked from 1920s New York Society Pages Maker: Sarah Sutliff, developed in partnership with Danny Rocco utilizing SWSeng Nightly Talk Backs Friday - "Radium Girls" with Lena Wolfe Saturday - "Who Let the Cat Out" with Collin Blackard Sunday - “Ms. Maxwell Presents: The Murder Game” with Sarah Sutliff and Danny Rocco
Audience Role
For Playground, the three immersive works in progress will utilize audiences in various ways: For "Radium Girls" audience members are thrust into the role of proxy for the radium girls, in "Ms. Maxwell Presents..." audience members play the role of Manhattan high society attending a dinner party, and for "Who Let the Cat Out" audience members play the live studio audience with some selected for live co-star roles!
