Journey into the underworld via our immersive reimagining of the Persephone myth. Attendees will wander through a fantastical outdoor location in Greenpoint, with dancers and large-scale installations bringing the myth to life as Homer narrates Persephone's kidnapping by the Queen of the Underworld. The production uses Newtown Creek as the Underworld's River Styx, highlighting "the tradeoffs that we make between environmental efforts and commercial interests."
