About Zephyr Dance
Zephyr is an experimental dance company questioning current trends in dancemaking, and the reduction of the art form to its most quantifiable, easily recognized patterns. Zephyr pushes the art of dance toward its edge, investigating movement in stillness and inertia, exploring repetitive patterns, and stripping away unnecessary artifice to reveal a rigorous choreography of elegant austere movements and gestures. Zephyr often allows the audience on to the performing area as a way to shift their experience from visual to visceral.
