After much media buzz and two consecutive sold-out Spooky Seasons, Berlin’s edgiest immersive scare experience is back. In 2025, NIGHTCRAWLERS takes the art of horror to the next level! NIGHTCRAWLERS is an immersive horror experience in the tradition of Halloween Haunts and a love letter to monstrosity. The 360° performance installation plunges the audience into a netherworld inhabited by creatures pushed into the shadows, where they experience pleasure, power, lust, and community on their own terms. From October 25-31, NIGHTCRAWLERS takes over Malzfabrik in Tempelhof, welcoming 300 brave souls a night into the elevated horror-themed experience. Over 45 minutes, the audience explores the historic malthouse’s endless hallways, stalked by creatures with a big and unusual appetite. The 2025 edition is an 18+ walkthrough scare experience for groups of six, featuring 15 multisensory environments across three floors. Each space is inhabited by a cast of performers with backgrounds in scare acting, immersive theatre, physical performance, ballroom, and contemporary dance. Berlin’s only queer haunt is committed to interactive storytelling that pushes beyond the confines of “good taste,” tapping into horror’s unique ability to reflect marginalized experiences, and the darkness of our times. In doing so, it embraces a mode of fear known as "body horror" — transgressive transformations and violations of flesh and form — with a touch of grotesque grunge. For the third year in a row, NIGHTCRAWLERS proves that horror articulates what other genres dare not or can not, and that in the right hands, Halloween Haunts are more than seasonal thrills: they are immersive works of art.
