An expeditionary creation guiding audiences on a walk through public space, contemplating the meaning of “home” and “journey.” This project is a living collaboration, continually enriched by the shared stories of our community members. neverhome is a geolocated soundwalk – an audio experience played from your digital device, site-specifically "installed" on a route along the Lakewood Gulch Trail from the 40 West Arts Nexus to Parque de la Amistad. The soundwalk stretches about 3 miles and plays through an app on your device, guided by your GPS location. It's available for free anytime you choose. You can go with friends or alone, listen on headphones or a portable speaker (respectful of other park users), and take as long as you want to explore the stories and sounds that comprise the experience.
