Looking for something fun to do with your friends and family this Halloween? Come experience our live theatrical Halloween show in Cole Valley, San Francisco this October 30 -31. Never a Clown is a twisted little tale for immature audiences of all ages. When a casual brainstorm about this season's Halloween costume crosses the line, a single Mom decides to tell her only child the truth about his father's disappearance. Based on a poem by the same name, Never a Clown is an intimate and offbeat sketch performed for small live audiences in one of San Francisco's most neighborly neighborhoods. This modern black comedy pokes fun at the secrets that parents keep from their children. It's a silly, safe and affordable way to celebrate All Hallows Eve in an outdoor setting, away from the crowds on Belvedere Street. No one is better at making folks laugh than local legend and Ringling brother, Boswick The Clown. He’ll be juggling, twisting (emotional support) balloon animals and clowning around like crazy in between shows. This is a fundraiser. 100% of proceeds go to San Francisco / Marin Food Bank. Tickets on sale now from $5-$25. For more Info go to www.prototypesf.com + When and where is it? This show will be performed in the street level garage and driveway of a private home a few blocks from the N-Judah MUNI stop at Carl & Cole Street as follows. The exact address will be shared in the order confirmation upon ticket purchase. + How long is it? Each live performance is approx. five minutes long. The show will be repeated four times per hour each new audience at 15 minutes intervals on the quarter of the hour. San Francisco's own Boswick The Clown will be roaming the area to entertain audiences between shows. Ticket holders are welcome to stay and watch the show a second time if space is available. + Is it family friendly? Yes. We think so. But every family is different and that's a primary theme of the story. This show does not contain any overt sex, violence, drug use nor jump scares. It does contain references to infamous serial killers and the verbal description of an accidental death. This is a black comedy. There is only one scary moment and it doesn't last very long. Please use your own discretion. We welcome children of all ages. + Is it interactive? No. The actors will not physically interact with the audience during the show. Ticket holders will be seated six feet apart from each other and at least six feet away from the performers. Between shows, San Francisco's own Boswick The Clown will be roaming the area entertaining audiences. + What are the COVID protocols? We manage the number of audience members through ticket sales in reserved time slots. Audience is seated outdoors, on a small platform, in a private driveway with social distancing encouraged. We require that all audience members are masked and will provide masks onsite at no cost to anyone who needs them.
