Present time. The Fictionalized rural community of River Crossing, Carolina receives shocking news that Ursula Fitzroy, local socialite and the last descendant of the wealthiest family in town is found dead, minutes before the Book Club would have disbanded. The police initially rule the death an accident, but discrepancies and the very reputation of the deceased make some believe she was murdered. To solve the mystery, audience members play the role of investigative reporters as they interrogate all the suspects, looking for an honest story to publish on tomorrow's front page edition!
